Sound Healing Experience - Thursday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m. (Downtown Columbus)

$30.00

Benefits of Sound Healing

A sound healing experience is a deeply immersive, full body listening experience created by various instruments, which create sounds and harmonies that promote relaxation of the mind and body. These intentional sound vibrations permeate your mind, body, and spirit to nurture gentle therapeutic and restorative processes.

The sounds introduced during a Sound Healing Experience are an invitation into a deeper, relaxing state, an opportunity to detach from external stimuli and to gain perspective on what’s going on within you.

Using breath, meditation and sound healing modalities, we assist you to heal and soothe your mind, body, and spirit.

The goal of the experience is to invite deep rest and relaxation, and explore self-inquiry and self-discovery.

Please bring a yoga mat, water, blanket, pillow, bolsters, and any comfort items for meditation.

Types of Instruments used

  • Clear quartz singing bowls, each attuned to a frequency for each of your seven chakras / energy healing centers in your body.

  • Tibetan brass singing bowls

  • Chimes

  • Ocean drums

  • Rain drum

Flow of Event

  • Please feel free to arrive up to 15 minutes prior to starting, and if comfortable for you, do some light stretching to enhance your comfort.

  • We'll start with some (light & short) breathing exercises to prepare you for stillness and the quieting of the brain, then have a short, guided meditation.

  • The meditation will be followed by the sonic healing from the instruments that I will play (30-ish minutes).

  • The final 5 or so minutes, you will rest in silence as you reset yourself to your surroundings.

  • You might fall asleep and if you do, that's totally fine! This will be a safe space to be who you are.

Best practices

  • Wear loose & comfortable clothing.

  • Have a light snack ahead of time, but try not to eat a lot or eat heavy foods.

  • Bring water with you.

  • I will have (disposable) eye masks (heated and not heated) but if you prefer to bring your own eye mask, please do.

    • Blocking out the light can help your brain and body to reach a deeper state of relaxation.

Many people prefer to lie on their backs, but you can lie on your stomach or one side, sit in a chair, sit upright with your back against the wall - there's no wrong way to experience sonic healing (except to not listen to your body and what you need).

  • If you prefer to sit in a chair, please bring a camp or folding chair with you.

Everyone has different preferences and we want you to be as comfortable as possible to fully enjoy your experience.

  • A blanket is encouraged because of the variability of the temperature of spaces.

  • Bolsters are suggested so your back, legs, head and neck are supported fully, thus allowing you to feel as comfortable as possible to enable the deepest experience possible.

  • If you prefer to sit in a chair, you are welcome to bring that.

  • If you wish, bring a journal and a pen to reflect on your experience.

For any questions or concerns, please reach out to effortless-spirit-healing@gmail.com or via phone/text to 614.636.2508.
